What is the best age for a child to first see an orthodontist?

We regard eight years onwards as the ideal age to first see the patient, because at this age we can best judge their future facial development.

If treatment is not appropriate at the time, we can review the patient at six or twelve month intervals until he or she has reached the most suitable stage of development for treatment.  We make no charge for these follow up reviews.
